The SHAVENT uses standard razor blades. The so-called half blades or "single edge blades" have been used in razors for decades and are available from many brands in our shop, on the large online marketplaces and in specialist shops. This means that each blade change costs just a few cents instead of many euros.

A classic safety razor has a rigid head with a blade - so you have to control the angle of the blades on your skin yourself. This poses a high risk of cuts, especially on the body.

The patented SHAVENT head, on the other hand, is flexible and adapts itself to every part of the body. And the three blades give you the safe, balanced feeling that you know from drugstore razors - just without any plastic and expensive replacement heads.

This is the crucial question that keeps an entire razor industry alive.

If you read blogs from manufacturers of replacement heads, you will find recommendations for changing frequencies of up to (for us, almost unbelievable) 1-2 times a week for daily shaving. It's hard to imagine how much money and waste you would spend on replacement heads.

Basically, you can change your SHAVENT blades as often or as rarely as you would in your current razor - with the small difference that every change makes a HUGE difference in costs and waste - but you already know that.

Our experience shows that it is best to go by feel. If we no longer feel that the shave is "smooth" and notice that individual hairs are starting to pull, we simply replace our blades.

The blades can be changed in just a few steps. Simply loosen the knurled nuts, remove the head and insert new blades, alternating with the spacers.
