Safety & Care
Safe handling
First things first
Most importantly, we all know that razor blades are razor sharp.
So please be careful as usual and DO NOT let the razor and old and new blades get into the hands of children. Animals can also injure themselves on razors and blades.
Take your time when changing blades and always hold the half blades on the blunt side.
We have a blade collection box in our shop so that you can safely store your replaced blades until they are recycled. The blades are kept safe in it, even in the bathroom - and the box even comes to you filled with a sweet surprise.

Tips and Tricks Against Razor Burn
Razor burn and other forms of Skin irritations are often (and this applies to all razors, not just SHAVENT) the result of too little "lubricant" or blades that are too blunt.
We recommend using shaving foam, personally we also like to use normal shower gel and have already had success with the shaving with oil had very good experiences.
A soothing aftershave balm also helps to calm and nourish the skin after shaving. Such care products are also available in many drugstores as a balm for body shaving.
You should definitely avoid shaving areas of skin that are very spotty, inflamed or injured until they are healthy and smooth again.
Please make sure that only the shaved area is covered with the lubricant, but that your hands are free of grease and clean so that you have a secure grip on the razor.
Your skin will react best to shaving if you always use sharp blades. Whereas in the past you may have shaved too long with the same blades because of the interchangeable heads, you can now shave more often new blades treat.
How long blades last depends on how often you use them, how thick your hair is and how large the area you shave is. Find your own comfort point by paying attention to whether the blades glide smoothly or pull on individual hairs or even get stuck. If so, you should replace the blades.
As with all products that you put on your skin, if irritation occurs despite all the advice given above, stop using it and consult a dermatologist.
Assembly, Care & Transport
So your SHAVENT is by your side for a long time
When changing the blade, you should always have dry, grease-free hands. Take your time the first time, then you will soon have internalized the steps. To change the blade, simply follow the pictures on the insert in the packaging, or as shown below:
Please make sure that you tighten the knurled nut screws securely, but without using too much force. Only use blades that were hygienically packaged in their original packaging.
After each use, rinse your SHAVENT thoroughly under running water and let it dry. To do this, you can place it on the stand included in all sets.
You can clean the SHAVENT thoroughly at regular intervals, e.g. when changing the blades. To do this, dismantle all parts and rinse the individual parts under clean water. You can also clean your SHAVENT in the dishwasher without the blades and without the spacers.
DANGER: Concentrated acids can attack metal! Therefore, do not expose metal razors to undiluted acids, such as those contained in coffee machine descalers or vinegar concentrate. If you want to use descaler, vinegar or something similar for basic cleaning, make sure you use the correct mixing ratio with water, as indicated on descaler products, leave the SHAVENT in the descaler bath for a maximum of one hour and then rinse it well with water.
When transporting the SHAVENT, always do so in a separate bag , case or similar, but NEVER unprotected in the same compartment with other things in the wash bag. Vibrations during your trip could loosen the screws and cause the blades to fall out, which could cause injury!
Better safe than sorry
You probably already know all of the above. But a little reminder is always helpful. We wish you many great and safe shaving experiences with your SHAVENT razor.
